Carrie & Philip | Wedding | Madison, GA

I had never been to Madison, Georgia until Carrie and Philip’s wedding, but now I can say that it is a beautiful, small town nestled east of Atlanta and it was just perfect for this wedding. It was a bright, warm, summer day and the Variety Works venue was more than accommodating to the wedding party needs. The bridesmaids were settled in their room, helping the bride get ready for her special day. The florist brought in Carrie’s cascading bouquet and we were all in awe of how incredibly beautiful it was. The simple white roses were perfectly framed by leaves and vines of green. The bridesmaids bouquets were a little simpler with purple and pink flowers to match the decor and centerpieces in the reception hall.

An assortment of cakes sat on a wagon in the barn and a cake topper resembling the bride and groom, with delicate faces, rested on the tallest cake. The groom figurine even had dress blues like Philip.

The big mirror in the bride’s room was perfect for the photos of her getting ready. It was a sweet moment when her mother helped her with her accessories and her dress. Carrie’s blonde hair, curled and half pinned up, rested on her shoulders under her veil and her make-up was done to perfection and brought out those stunning blue eyes and incredible smile.

The bride’s first look with her father was nothing short of emotional and the sun sparkled through the trees as I captured photos of Carrie with her bridesmaids.

On the other side of the barn, in their tuxes and dress blues, were the handsome groom and his groomsmen. We had some fun with their photos as we walked down a shaded path on the property.

The ceremony was perfect and the venue was stunning. Lights hung from the ceiling and the white curtains on the window behind the altar created a soft light that framed the couple as they vowed their forever love to each other. Something special, a foot washing ceremony, which I have never witnessed before, was perfect.

Carrie, Philip, the matron of honor Nicole, and I left the venue to walk around the town and get some photos of just the bride and groom as the sun set. We found a few cozy spots and then Carrie wanted to go into the James Madison Inn. This incredible hotel was perfect and we were able to get some great photos outside and in.

More photos and more love continued throughout the night. Family and friends gathered around the newly weds and danced, danced, danced, then said goodnight and congratulations with a sparkler sendoff.

Special thanks to all who made this day possible and beautiful for the amazing couple!
