One type of session that I would love to do more of, are maternity sessions. Not only because I am 26 and suffering tremendously from baby fever, but because I just love how beautiful the shots are that I have created in the few sessions I have done. It is no secret that I love standing back and watching couples interact lovingly with each other. I am a wedding photographer! That being said, when a couple is pregnant, it is a whole other experience. I have been working hard to update this blog for the past couple of months. I have not yet decided if I want to include family sessions or if I only want to blog to be for weddings and couples. (if you have some input, please, I would love anything you have to say) For some reason, while I was going through all my galleries tonight, I decided to make a blog of this special session. Why is this session so particularly special? It was for my sister. Matthew is now 6 months old and actually has a little sister on the way! I have no words to describe how much I love the photos from this session. We were so lucky to have a neighbor who let us shoot in her back yard, and I must say, the location and sunset were PERFECT! I think I will stop talking now and let the photos speak for themselves.

I don't do posed newborn photos. I much prefer the excitement and challenge of photographing weddings. I just do not have the patience to calm and pose a baby nor do I want to be peed or pooped on. I do, however, offer more of a lifestyle session for newborns. This was my first and only attempt to do anything close to posed newborn shots. My little nephew was a 6 week preemie, so he was so tiny and delicate.

Like I said before, this adorable baby is now 6 months old. When I say adorable, I mean ADORABLE. This little Gerber baby is no stranger to my camera and I have definitely captured some of my favorite photos I have ever taken of this little guy. This one in particular, with his big blue eyes, and plump pink lips, I printed as an 11x14 and put in a frame for my sister for Christmas. I now want one for myself.
Just perfect.

To finish this blog, I would like to share some photos of this cutie in his First Christmas get-up. It is obvious that he did not like the hat, but you have to admit, this baby is adorable even when he is sad!

All I have to say is that if his little sister is as cute as he is, he better take good care of her when the boys come calling.
