I got up bright and early for this sunrise session in Savannah. This adorable couple are from Washington state and came all the way across the country to have their wedding here. I am so excited to get to capture their special day!! I asked Bayleigh why they chose Savannah, this is what she said, "Our decision to choose Savannah was a very simple one! We visited Savannah for the first time in February of 2015. My now fiance and I visited his family in North Carolina while on the way to my best friend's wedding in Louisiana. We were looking for a place to visit for a few days in between the visit with his family and the wedding. I had always heard wonderful things about Savannah so we booked a room at one of the haunted inns. We both immediately fell in love with Savannah the second we drove into town. I was raised on the west coast but I always felt I was a southern girl at heart. The image I had always had of the south was exactly what Savannah looked like. The beautiful architecture, the Spanish moss trees, the cobblestone streets, the unique squares. As if the scenery wasn't enough the people also really made a difference. Everywhere we went everyone was so friendly and welcoming. They treated us like the had known us our whole lives and they just met us seconds before. There is a feeling we get in Savannah that we haven't been able to find anywhere else. When we got engaged in January neither one of us questioned it. We knew exactly where we wanted to be married."
I agree, Savannah just has a special charm and here are some photos that showcase that, as well as this adorable duo! We started at 7am and it seemed like we had the whole city to ourselves.
