Amber & Michael | Wedding

Amber and Michael's wedding was absolutely amazing. It wasn't too hot, it wasn't too cold and the sky was a mix of puffy white clouds and a beautiful, vibrant blue. We arrived at 2 pm to shoot the details and get ready for the big day. The bridesmaids were adorable in their silk robes as they helped their bride with her corset and cowboy boots, and the groomsmen watched the game from the comfort of a couch and showed off their sunglasses for some classy portraits.

One thing I have never done before at a wedding is a first look. Usually this is a moment before the wedding where the bride and groom have time together before they are married. These are sometimes very emotional moments when the groom sees his beautiful bride for the first time. We didn't do a bride and groom first look for this wedding, however, we did do a first look with the bride and her father. It was such a beautiful moment when he turned around and saw his little girl in her wedding dress. I am tearing up right now just writing this, as I remember the look on his face. He grabbed her hands, looked her up and down, and they embraced in a hug accompanied by a few tears. It really was a beautiful moment and I am so glad Amber asked me to capture it for her.

The Red Gate Barn was beautifully decorated with vibrant fall colors of orange, yellow and blue, and the pine cone name plates were simply genius. There were even miniature ones if the guest was a child. One thing I really like about the barn is the lights that are strung throughout. They create a wonderful glow and add some flair to the background of any photo. The bridesmaids flowers were simple, with cotton and some small orange flowers. I have to say, even though I am in South Georgia where there are cotton fields around every curve, I have never seen cotton used in a wedding. I liked it!

All of these things came together to make the perfect day for Michael and Amber and I am so glad that we got to be a part of it as well.

Now let's see it!

Oh what a stunning bride she was!

As the barn doors rolled open Michael looked up and saw his beautiful bride emerge. He was so overwhelmed with emotion, he looked over at his best man, who approvingly gave him a pat on the back. There is nothing like this moment.
