Amanda & Isaac | Engagement

For this engagement session, because of all the crazy Valentine's weekend madness and traffic in Savannah, we got started right as the sun was disappearing. Needless to say, we had to get creative. Normally I like to take a little time before the session to talk to the couple and get warmed up so that they are comfortable and not tense in front of the camera. I really wanted to get a couple of sunset photos in, so this time we jumped right in. You will see, (Because it was too cute not to post) Isaac helped his lovely bride touch up her make-up. Luckily, these two are very fun and lively, so being tense wasn't a problem.

It is no secret that I REALLY love the Spanish moss that hangs from the trees here in South Georgia, so I just had to get this photo. What you cannot see in this photo below is, while I was taking it, this little Westie dog came and laid down by my feet and started rolling around. She had on a little sweater and was just the cutest thing (other than the subjects of this amazing photo.) Apparently, the owner said that people are always taking the dogs photos, so she was hamming it up in front of the camera.

So one of the first things I noticed as we were walking down this sidewalk were these two large trees with a stump between them. While I was taking the moss photos and laughing at the cute dog, I was trying to think of the best ways to use this setting for a photo. I think we ended up doing pretty well.

Oh and since I like this one so much, I could not decide between black and white. So, here is both!!

Oh, and did I mention how incredibly BEAUTIFUL this ring is!! Seriously!

We took a few more photos with the moss and the trees, then we decided to go lay in the grass. They laid down for me to get the overhead photos and then I laid down to get the sillouette with the moon shot. All three of these might just be my favorite photos for the night. And we aren't even finished yet!!

After we ran out of daylight in the park, we decided to venture across the street to use the street lights as lighting. I was so incredibly happy when I saw how well these came out. These two just look so great together.

I had a lot of fun with this session and I also want to say thanks to Michael for carrying all my bags and helping me demonstrate poses. After the session, we went to this amazing restaurant in downtown Savannah called Treylor Park and had great drinks and AMAZING food. This was definitely a great way to spend my valentines weekend!
